Journeys Home

2005

the adventures of Odysseus

The focus of the 2005 conference was the
journey of adolescence. Homer’s Odyssey
provided the starting point for our exploration
of the adolescent’s often uneasy passage to
identity and the achievement of values. A live
supervision considered clinical material and
speakers presented papers on the theme of
adolescence.

Theatre Performances
Performances of The Iliad and The Odyssey
took place on two consecutive nights. Hugh
Lupton and Daniel Morden told stories in
what The Times called a “serious, moving
and vital” retelling of Homer’s work.
